Durham Synchro Tier 7 Team Places in the Top 10 at Nationals

Durham Synchro's 2004/2005 Tier 7 team (from left, Sophie Baetz-Dougan, Coach Leslie Wickens, Katie Cornish, Chelsey Matthews and Lindsay Maclean) is on top of the world at the Calgary Tower. The team placed 7th in Tier 7 Junior competition at the 2005 Canadian Open Synchronized Swimming Championships, held at the Talisman Centre in Calgary. Way to go, girls!

Our Tier 7 team recently returned from the Canadian Open Synchronized Swimming Championships at the Talisman Centre in Calgary , Alberta , where their excellent swim in preliminary competition, plus strong figures marks, placed them in seventh and qualified them for Tier 7 Junior Team Finals. Another great swim in the finals helped them to a final placement of 9 th in Canada . As the only four-member team in the competition, Sophie Baetz-Dougan, Katie Cornish, Lindsay Maclean, and Chelsey Matthews did extremely well and deserve a round of applause for their efforts. Well done, girls, and special mention to Coach Leslie Wickens for her outstanding work all year with our senior swimmers.
