DHSC Stands for WOW at 2006 East Regionals!

DHSC's Tier 3 team finished in fourth place at the recent East Regionals meet in Ottawa , ON .
Congratulations to Durham Synchro's Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Masters teams for their fantastic results at the 2006 East Regional Championships, held at Ottawa 's Carleton University on April 22/23, 2006!
Our younger teams all came home with podium finishes, with Tier 1 taking the silver medal; Tier 2 in 6 th place; and Tier 3 in fourth. Congratulations, girls and coaches!
In Tier 1 figures competition, Durham 's Heather Clarke took first place in a field of 21, with a score of 53.8330, while Sarah Masters and Meagan Caulfield were 8 th and 9 th respectively.
In Tier 2 (12&U) figures, Ashtyn Nauffts was on the podium with her fifth place finish, while Lindsay Dawson was 9 th .
In Tier 3 (12&U) figures, Carly McCagherty placed 7 th , with Alycia Halyk and Amber Steele following closely in 8 th and ninth spots.
In Tier 3 (13&O) figures, Alexandra Opydo tied for tenth place.
In Tier 4 (13&U) figures, Stephanie Geller took first place, while Ali Young placed third in Tier 4 (14&O).
In the Tier Masters team event, our Masters team placed second. In solo, Rebecca Jasper placed first, and Joy Simon won the silver. In duet competition, our Masters fared extremely well, with Kirsten Mills and Teri Pearce taking the gold; Shannon Savage and Vanessa Reeve taking silver, and Joy Simon and Rebecca Jasper finishing in fourth place.
Durham Duet Competes at 2006 Ontario-Quebec Cup
Congratulations to Stephanie Geller and Ali Young, who also competed at the recent 2006 Ontario-Quebec Cup at Centennial Pool in Burlington . Stephanie and Ali placed 8 th out of 13 Tier 4 duets (4th in Ontario ).
