Durham Swimmers Bring Back Podium and Top-Ten Results From 2007 Eastern/Atlantic Divisional Challenge

The results are hot off the press from the Eastern/Atlantic Divisional Challenge at Etobicoke Olympium, and Durham Synchro has a number of reasons to be happy with their results! Attended by our Tier 6 and Tier 7 Jr. swimmers, Durham had three podium placements and three Top Ten results. |
This five-day “Best Of The East” meet drew 24 synchro clubs from the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario . Congratulations to all swimmers who participated in this meet, as well as their coaches, Holley and Leslie! |

Tier 6 (15&U) Results
In Tier 6, Leslie Wickens ' team of Lindsay Dawson, Alycia Halyk, Hannah Koke, Brooke Manson, Carly McCagherty, Rachel Nickerson, Alexandra Opydo, and Amber Steele were pleased with their final swim which placed them 7th out of 11 Tier 6 (15&U) teams at the meet. (3rd in Ontario )
In Tier 6 (15&U) figures, Jessica Henry was on the podium for Durham Synchro with a 6 th place (3rd in Ontario ) finish. In duet, she and Stephanie Geller placed 10th out of 25 duets (4th in Ontario ). In Tier 6 solo, Jessica earned a 7 th place finish (2nd in Ontario).
Tier 7 Jr. Results
In Tier 7 Jr., Holley Lundmark's team of Stephanie Geller, Jessica Henry, Katie LePage, Julia Maclean, Brianna MacLellan, Chelsey Matthews and Alaina Wade placed 5 th out of nine teams. (2nd in Ontario )
In Tier 7 Jr. figures, Julia Maclean led the way for Durham with an 11th place finish (2nd in Ontario). In duet, Katie LePage and Chelsey Matthews were happy with a 5th place podium finish out of 22 duets (1st in Ontario ). In solo preliminaries, Julia missed qualifying for finals by just one-tenth of a point, but pre-swam before the Tier 7 Jr. solo finals (3rd in Ontario ).
