Durham Synchro Shines at 2007 Trillium 12&U Provincial Championships!

Congratulations to a dozen DHSC swimmers who competed at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in London, Ontario, at the 2007 Trillium 12&U Provincial Championships on June 16/17!

In 12&U duet category, Durham's Alycia Halyk and Rachel Nickerson won the gold medal in a field of 22 duets. Congratulations, girls! In the 12&U solo final, Rachel placed third, while Lindsay Dawson placed 6th out of 24 solos.

In 12&U figures, Durham Synchro swimmers brought home two more podium placements with Alycia finishing fourth and Rachel placing sixth in a field of 130 swimmers. Alycia and Rachel were also recently named to Synchro Ontario 's first 12 & Under Provincial Team. Lindsay Dawson (14), Sarah Masters (31), Katie Gagnon (33), Ellen Hamilton (45), Shannon Blaney (52), Meagan Caulfield (53), Julia Ehrt (56), Kionna Whyte (59), Lindsay Evelyn (88) and Madison Kitchener (104) also competed.
