A Fine Finale at Espoir

Durham’s Tier 6’s travelled west to Edmonton for Espoir, their final competition of the year. The girls worked hard among a competitive field from across Canada, and finished their year off well. Leslie Wickens’ team finished 9 th in team preliminaries and 12 th after figures were included in the calculations. This left them to pre-swim for the National finals. Jenilee Keslering’s team finished 16 th in both team preliminaries and overall. Strong individual figures results were posted by Jessica Henry (11), Rachel Nickerson (33), Stephanie Geller (36) and Hannah Koke (94). In preliminary solo competition, Jessica Henry finished 12 th, Rachel Nickerson 19 th, Stephanie Geller 29 th and Hannah Koke 34 th. In duet prelims, Rachel Nickerson and Alycia Halyk came 20 th, while Jessica Henry and Stephanie Geller came 7 th and later 9 th in the finals.
