Durham Synchro Receives Recognition at Synchro Swim Ontario National Stream Awards

Durham Synchronized Swimming Club’s Head coach, Holley Lundmark, and Coach/Swimmer, Julia Maclean, recently returned from the Synchro Swim Ontario National Stream Awards with awards of recognition for outstanding achievements for the 2009 season. The award ceremony was held on December 6, 2009 during the Lisa Alexander Figures Meet held at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in London, Ontario.

Holley Lundmark received the coveted National Stream Award’s Coach of the Year. The criteria for this special award are based upon accumulated results from various events such as the Provincial Championships, Divisionals and Nationals.

Julia Maclean accepted the National Stream Award’s Athlete of the Year. The criteria for this sought after award is based upon accumulated results from events such as the Provincial Championships, Divisionals, Nationals as well as participation on Provincial and/or National Teams.

These awards are wonderful acknowledgements of the time, hard work and dedication that these two women have contributed to our club as well as to the sport of synchronized swimming. Congratulations Holley and Julia!
