Message from the Club President

Dear Synchro Families,

Well the Christmas season is upon us. Along with the many concerts and celebrations at
schools, our Club will also be hosting a Christmas water show in cooperation with
Variety Village Synchro Club. I am very pleased to be working collaboratively with
another club.  I know all our teams and coaches are working to provide us with a
"sample" of what they have been working on since the beginning of the season.  Can't wait to get a sneak peek at some of the routines!

Here are the details for the Christmas Water Show.

DATE: December 20, 2009

LOCATION: Olympium Pool, Etobicoke

TIME: 12:30 - 2:00pm

ADMISSION: $5.00/Adult and $2.00/Children

There are raffles available during the Watershow and many opportunities to win some extra cash for last minute shopping.

On another note, I am very pleased to hear of the many successes our swimmers experienced over the weekend at the Lisa Alexander meet in London, Ontario. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches for all their hard work. For first time parents and swimmers, the Lisa Alexander meet is a great way to start the season and get a taste for the upcoming events. Additionally, Holley Lundmark was awarded National Coach of the Year and Julia Maclean was awarded as National Athlete of the Year.  Just two more examples of the exceptional talent we have at Durham. Congratulations!

Thank you to Cindy Caulfield and her team of parents for organizing the Christmas party, I know the swimmers are excited to celebrate and have a great time socializing outside of the pool.
