Wilfred Laurier University’s Aquatic Centre was the site of the 2011 12 & Under Trillium Championships hosted by the Waterloo Synchro Club, June 11-12, 2011. Several swimmers from DSC’s Provincial teams represented the club at this annual meet. After several nail biting moments, DSC’s swimmers held their own against a number of synchro rivals.

In the Figures segment of this competition, Alicia Lopers, from DSC’s 10 & Under Provincial team, placed 7th in the 10 & Under category and graced the podium in 6th place in the 10 & Under Solo Finals category.

Samantha Low, from DSC’s 11-12 Provincial team, showed a strong performance in Figures placing 13th in the 12 & Under category out of 138 swimmers. Samantha continued on to 8th place in the 12 & Under Solo Finals Championships.  DSC 10 & Under Provincial teammates Madeleine MacNeil and Tianna Henry demonstrated good form and placed 51st and 100th respectively in the Figures division.

Congratulations to these swimmers and their coaches who illustrated remarkable endurance and resolve during two long days of competing.
