Durham Synchro Rec Team’s Hit the Pool and Come up Golden

On November 20, 2010, seven of DSSC’s top Recreational swimmers travelled to Orangeville, ON to compete in the season’s first Figure meet, Synchro Swim Ontario Novice (Recreational) Figure Competition, held at the Alder St. Pool. The girls from the Trillium Advanced groups not only represented DSSC well, they came up with four podium results!

Rachel Lall, acquired a first place finish in the 9 Yr. Old Recreational Swimmer category in an outstanding showing. Cassidy Murray added to last year’s collection with another first place among 12 Yr. Old participants. Kennedy Murray took fifth place in the 10 Yr. Old category. Selina Lall completed the sister’s act with a sixth place finish in the Competitive Swimmer, 12 Yr. Old group. Personal best results were posted by all of the Durham swimmers; Christina Tsoukas  - 12 Yr. Old division (9), Kailee Tomovski - 11 Yr. Old division (10),  and Kody Bootsma - 12 Yr. Old division (12).

This was an extraordinary start to the season for our Durham Synchro Club Recreational swimmers. Congratulations on these terrific results, ladies! We will be eagerly watching your progress through the season.
