The Durham Synchro Club Novice Program is designed for swimmers who want to further their skills beyond what is taught at the recreational level and/or get some experience at provincial competitions. We have 2 novice streams: 8 and under (6 to 8 years of age) and 13-15 (12 to 16 years). Swimmers must be able to pass the ‘swim test’ at our local pools (swim 2 lengths independently) and be comfortable in deep water. Lessons are 2 hours in duration, 3 days per week and the program runs from September to May. Swimmers work on artistic or synchronized swimming skills and develop a choreographed routine throughout the program. Swimmers compete at 2 to 3 Novice competitions in a season. Swimmers also perform in a holiday and year-end watershow for family and friends (admission fee required).
NOVICE REGISTRATION FEES
Novice fees are determined seasonally; please inquire about our fees for the upcoming season. A non-refundable registration fee of $250 is due upon enrolment. Fees are paid in monthly instalments over the season.
